Home Sweet Home

And I spent Saturday and Sunday unpacking. I still need to rearrange stuff, to make it work with the space. And artwork still needs to be hung on the walls, but all in all I am settled into my new home. My favorite parts of the place are (and I do LOVE this place) the antique doorknobs, the chandelier in the dining room, the deep tub in the bathroom, and the feel of the hardwood floor on my bare feet.
I am hoping that by loving my home I will start to love Chicago a bit more and miss LA a bit less.

Soundtrack for unpacking:

Old 97s: Live DVD (the doc. is awesome Murry)
Nolan: Rotation
The Sleepers
Modest Mouse
DMB: Lillywhite Sessions
The Streets: Original Pirate Material (Sharp Darts is the best)

Olivia,
Your place looks awesome. I can't wait to come and visit. take some more pictures and post them - I can't wait to see more!!! Will you be painting any walls purple at this location?

the first thing i asked is if i could paint the walls. but there are rules for these vintage buildings and i can not paint. i thought about hanging fabric on a wall, to add color and texture...but i may be too lazy for that. :)
i will take more photos after i rearrange the pieces.

come visit soon!!!
