What a weekend!
Houston was awesome. It was so great to see Laine and Chris (and Grace)! We spent the day playing tennis, visiting the art museum, walking the sculpture garden, and eating some real Texas BBQ. I ate more this weekend than I did all last week.
I was still a bit hungover from last week (note to self: don’t mix red wine, vodka, and beer in the same night) but was still able to partake in a cider or two.
Their home (the villa) is beautiful and they love Texas. I can’t wait to visit again.
I bought a digital camera this weekend, thank you so much Lance for your help!! So soon my blog (for all 2 people who read this) will be littered with photos. So now there will be visual evidence of my life. I wonder if this is a good thing…??
I flew back early on Sunday and headed downtown for Rock Around the Block. I met up with Murry before the show and got to catch up a bit. He seems to be doing well. His wife, Grey, won a Grammy this year, so that is very exciting. Way to go, Grey!!
The concert was awesome, as usual. Plenty of groupies to go around. The crew from the film “The Break Up” was there and so I got to meet some of them.
By the time I left I was exhausted. I barely had enough energy to steer the wheel of my car. This morning I gulped down a few cups of coffee and seem to be making it through the day ok.
I finished up Blink yesterday, and liked it but would recommend The Tipping Point first. Today I am off to the book store to pick up the new Harry Potter book, so that should keep me busy for awhile.
I received a rejection letter from The Jerk Club. Bastards. I hate my friends.
