The Tudors

Last night Chris and I watched the first episode of the Showtime television series The Tudors. This show is awesome! I already love the British (pre)Renaissance era with all the turmoil of religion, war and cultural happenings. Couple that with great acting, costumes and scripts and the show is a winner in my book!

This show begins with the introduction of Henry VIII as a fairly young man who is (unfaithfully) married to a Spanish woman named Catherine of Aragon. They focus on his greed, desire to become immortal and love of women. And pretty much in every scene he's eating something. I wonder if they'll make Jonathan gain weight as the show progresses?

Anyway, I recommend Netflixing this show!

You should read The Pillars of the Earth... it's about that same period and the building of a cathedral. I think it's going to be made into a tv mini series. the book is 970 pages... but it's a good read.

that's Pastor anony mom to you!
