More Color
$1 Tequila Shots
Also, the joint is located next to some train tracks, so everytime the train goes by the bartender rings a bell, the crowd cheers and buys a dollar shot of tequila.
Courtney is right, this restaurant had awesome food!

Superbowl
The Bears are heading to the Superbowl! What a way to come back to Chicago! I stepped off the L into the cold; trudged my frozen feet through 5 blocks of snow-covered sidewalks. As I turned the corner onto Damen, I saw the street was filled with people yelling. All the cars were honking their horns. Everyone was chanting "Bears, Bears, Bears!!" I walked past one guy who slapped me a high five as we both cheered "Yeah, Go Bears!"
It's good to be home.

LOL
I know this is a bit dorky, but I found it to be funny (thanks to the English nerd side of me). Thanks Mom, for the mid-afternoon laugh!
These are strange Analogies plucked from student essays because of their uniqueness.
Shots rang out, as shots are wont to do.
The plan was simple, like my brother-in-law Phil. But unlike Phil, this plan just mightt work.
The young fighter had a hungry look, the kind you get from not eating for a while.
"Oh, Jason, take me!" she panted, her breasts heaving like a college freshman on a Dollar Beer Night.
He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck either, but a real duck that was actually lame. Maybe from stepping on a land mine or something.
Her artistic sense was exquisitely refined, like someone who can tell butter from "I Can't Belierve Its' Not Butter".
She had a deep, throaty, genuine laugh, like that sound a dog makes just before it throws up.
It came down the stairs looking very much like something no one had ever seen before.
The knife was as sharp as the tone used by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tex) in her first several points of parliamentary procedure made to Rep. Henry Hyde (R-Ill) in the House Judiciary Committee hearings on the impeachment of President William Jefferson clinton.
The ballerina rose gracefully en pointe and extended one slender leg behind her, like a dog at a fire hydrant.
The revelation that his marriage of 30 years had disintegrated because of his wife's infidelity came as a rude shock, like a surcharge at a formerly surcharge-free ATM.
The dandelion swayed in the gentle breeze like an oscillating electric fan set on medium.
It was an American tradition, like fathers chasing kids around with power tools.
He was deeply in love. When she spoke, he thought he heard bells, as if she were a garbage truck backing up.
She was as easy as the "TV Guide" crossword.
Her eyes were like limpid pools, only they had forgotten to put in any pH cleanser.
She grew on him like she was a colony of E. coli and he was room-temperature Canadian beef.
She walked into my office like a centipede with 98 missing legs.
Her voice had that tense, grating quality, like a first-generation thermal paper fax machine that needed a band tightened.
It hurt the way your tongue hurts after you accidentally staple it to the wall.

Alpha Dog

Michelle and I checked out the film Alpha Dog, last night. I was really surprised by how good the film was, although the story was very difficult to watch.Justin Timberlake did a great job in his role but the best actor, in my mind, was Ben Foster. Holy crap he's an intense actor!! But back to Justin, he did a great job and I was impressed with his acting abilities (especially in the final scenes).
I give this two thumbs up!

And the Award Goes To

Cameron, this was your big chance to show the world that you don't need Justin. That you're beautiful and athletic and....cool. So you chose now to walk around on national television looking like a feather duster?
Cameron - you are the winner of this year's Fugliest Globe Award.
Congrats.
Now go home, get into pjs and eat a pint of ice cream, for pete's sake. You just broke up with the hottest man in the world. You and Reese's ex should form a club called "We Done Just Fucked Up".
A Fly on the Wall
Here is your chance to hear what goes on in the minds of those attending the Golden Globes.Vanessa: "What's a fur coat without a rat's nest? See my hair does make sense with this outfit. It's called coordinating. My eyebrows hurt."

Sienna: "Tending sheep is hard work. I think I should start yodeling, maybe it will distract people from staring at my braid."
Jennifer Love: "What am I doing here? How did I get invited to this?"Reese: "I am hot. Ryan, you done fucked up." (Seriously, Reese, those are some fabulous shoes and I LOVE your hair. Well played, Reese.)
Breakfast

Angie gave me a great tip for a healthy, filling breakfast. One packet of Go Lean Honey and Cinnamon oatmeal with one peeled, cored, and chopped apple. I've been using Fiji and Gala apples and it's really delicious! Lots of protein and fiber, so it's good for you too! And it doesn't taste like normal, soggy oatmeal. There is actual texture to this stuff. I can't recommend this enough!

Shopping with my Sister
And then we came home, put on our pjs and had a movie marathon.
Thanks, Ang, for visiting this weekend. It's just what I needed. :)

Nerd-Hot
I was having a discussion last night with a friend of mine, Lee, about the idea of 'nerd-hot' people. We were able to easily name many women who we would deem 'nerd-hot': Natalie Portman, Cindy Crawford, Gina Davis, etc. Yet after much brainstorming, I was unable to think up any famous men whom I believe fall under the category of nerd-hot.
So, my readers, I am asking you to help me brainstorm a list. I want names of famous men who are sexier because of their intelligence.

Hot Chocolate

Last night was Sandy's surprise party at Hot Chocolate. It was a ton of fun and the food was incredible! But the restaurant, who is owned by famed pastry chef Mindy Segal, is known for it's desserts. We finished our meal with some creme brulee with carmalized figs, banana pudding, chocolate souffle with homeade chocolate ice cream, and sugared dougnuts with a dark chocolate fondue. yummmmm.......
Bye Linds
