I must admit I was surprised by Saddam's sentencing. I figured he would be found guilty but death by hanging what a shocker. Does that seem brutal to anyone else? I read that he asked for a firing squad instead but his request was denied.
I know he's an evil person but don't you think we should lead by example? And maybe there is no humane way to put someone to death but, I don't know, hanging just seems cruel and archaic to me.
So I guess the moral of the story is: Don't Be Mean.
*Which makes me pose another question for you: Is being too nice a bad thing too? Remember about 6 months ago (check back in April/May 2006 for this posting) I questioned whether it was ok to be selfish every now and then? That brought about some interesting comments from my readers. Anyway, I'm beginning to wonder if it's best to find a balance and to be nice every now and then but to be mean every now and then too. Sometimes I feel like people don't take you seriously unless you are a bitch every once in awhile. Thoughts?

I think acting dumb gets you more than acting mean. But combining the two is a perfect example of the type of people I deal with on a daily basis. :)

maybe i should just act like a whore. that seems to work for Paris. :P
I don't think you can generalize the French like that.
I think you should be mean to the French. Their whores, mostly...

Well, if you've decided to be mean to whores, you should probably go to Amsterdam. I mean, they're legal there, so they wouldn't be hard to find. You might as well make your bitchy periods easy to come by, you know?
Extra perks for Amsterdam: you could make snide remarks as you pass the "cafes"
i like this idea of taking my meanness on a global scale.
First and foremost i hit up Europe. After that, I might as well go to the Middle East. I think my meanness will blend in well there.
Although, Russell Crowe is from Australia and he throws phones at people. hmmmm....
