Frasca's

Last night, my team celebrated Christmas at Frasca's in Lakeview. We drank so much champagne (and Lindsey downed a few beers), snacked on warm olives and brie, feasted on gourmet pizzas and polished it all off with pistachio and chocolate gellato and carrot cake tiramasu. Bon appetite!
We did out gift exchange, which was so much fun!
Merry Christmas, everyone!

Prayers

A woman on my team found her mother on the floor this morning. She had her mom rushed to the hospital and we haven't heard anything yet.

Please take a moment and say a prayer...

Update: Her mom had a major stroke. She is currently on life support and hasn't regained consciousness. This is a very sad time.

Holiday Cards

I got Sarah and Paddy's holiday card. This one is just as hilarious as last year's David Hasselhoff ("Oh Holy Knight Rider!")

Chuck Norris can speak Braille.

Tis the Season

My vendor sent me a beautiful bouquet of holiday flowers. My desk smells like Christmas now (that fresh pine scent).
And for all you guys out there, I was just discussing this with my girlfriend (whom I will not name, in order to protect her identity). Girls will always say they don't need/want flowers. They will tell you not to waste the money. Blah blah blah.
It's a big fat lie. Girls want flowers and they want to get them in front of other people.

And Paddy totally gets props for this. Everytime Sarah has a birthday, or it's an anniversary, or whatever, Paddy sends her flowers. So she gets a beautiful bouquet and she gets it in front of a whole bunch of people. Well done, Paddy. Well done.

So remember this boys: get your lady flowers and give them to her in front of other people.

Trust me, you'll thank me later.

Grape Martinis

Saturday night was Michelle and Suzy's holiday party. We snacked on bruchetta, salmon and cavier. We sipped their signature drinks; cranberry martinis and grape martinis. What a lovely evening!

The Pursuit of Happyness

Adam and I saw Pursuit of Happyness this past week. OMG, such a good movie. Such a very, very good movie. I hope Will Smith gets an Oscar nom. for this role.
Go see it, y'all. And bring tissue...
(sorry the pics are so big, I'm having trouble sizing them down)

That's 'Oil' with an 'H'

Adam and I went to Martyr's last night to see The Oil Brothers, um...I mean, The Hoyle Brothers. Then we saw some other band that I want to say is called Johnny Something-or-other but I know it's really Dale Something-or-other.
I want to go back for the Jamboree in January. They had some of the best dancers and I feel like cutting a rug!

With Honors

My sister turned in her final paper last night. She is now done with school and the owner of a Bachelor of Science in Business. And she graduated with honors!

Congratulations, Angie! I am so proud of you and I love you very much! You are the best sister and best friend anyone could ask for.

You Sit on a Throne of Lies

Last night, my girlfriends and I got together to eat pizza, make cookies and watch "Elf". Such a flippin' hilarious movie and every time I watch it I laugh even harder.
Some of my favorite Elf quotes are:
"You sit on a throne of lies"
"I like to whisper too"

So what's your favorite Elf quote?

(more photos to come tonight)
did i mention that Sarah lives next to Clark W. Griswold? oh yeah...more photos later. (you're dying of anticipation aren't you...)
