My company sure knows how to throw a party. And my coworkers sure know how to take advantage of that.

The Aussies

The Aussies were in town yesterday and they meet with Amy, Sarah and I to discuss trends and get our opinions on some products they are developing. Afterwards we went out to Kuma's Korner for dinner and drinks. We couldn't let them leave without showing them a bit more of Chicago so we then took them to The Horseshoe for the Bakelite 78 show.
Cheers!

Barefoot Contessa

Last night, Ina was in Chicago for her book signing. The whole event was a big hit! Although my entire team's feet hurt by the end of the night, we were all very excited to see such a great turn out! The line of people snaked through the third floor, second floor, first floor and then out the door!! People started lining up hours before she even arrived!
Ina was so nice to work with! She was super nice and grateful. She was also very pleased with how well the event went.
Afterwards my team went across the street to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate with margaritas. Thanks to Gordon for picking up our tab!

A small snippet of a random conversation I had last night:
O: Did you see who's here?
K: Yeah I saw. Did you want to go downstairs to avoid them?
O: Oh hell no! They're in MY house tonight. I'll be damned if I make this easy on them. I will be escorting them through this whole event.
K: Ha! Ha!

Yeah for girlfriends!!

Delete! Delete!

I love that we gather in the bar after bowling. We get to catch up on all the latest gossip, have a few drinks and even more laughs, and yell "Delete!" when we take bad photos of each other.
:)
A big congrats to Jimmy and Dana for bowling really well last night!!
(and thanks to amy for not sending out the text message "Ur a jerk. I never want to speak to you again." ha ha!)

Long Live The D

Adam and I saw Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny and it blew our minds. They truly are the greatest band in the world!

Winter Wonderettes

My mom's musical debuted this past weekend! We were able to slip backstage before the curtain went up. Although that hair does grab your eye, I can't help but LOVE her white go-go boots! She was great and it was a lot of fun seeing her back on stage. And what a set of pipes! :)

Betty Crocker Ain't Got Nothin' On Us!

Angie and I spent the entire weekend baking. I will now spend the next week handing out goodies. :)
So far the toffee is a hit and Michelle loved the sugar cookies!

Max and Me

This is what I look like when I am totally in love. :)

Powdered

Powdered donuts are not only delicious they are fun. (and messy)

We're Differently Lucky

I brought my goggles for the boys to play with. They loved how they looked like superheroes in them!

**I forgot to mention, Gavin was full of all sorts of interesting phrases and thoughts this weekend. (You all remember the question: Does God wear a cape?) Gavin and I were in our PJs, sitting on the sofa, Friday night when he crossed his arms around his chest and squeezed. He then looked up at me and said, "This is what it looks like when we hug God". How sweet is that? My heart just melted and I told him that God likes to be hugged.

Road Trip!!

A big thank you to Stacey for offering to drive all of us back to Chicago, last night. And a big thank you to Wendy's, for being located at every exit outside of Milwaukee. Woot!
