Lolla - Day 3

The final day of Lollapalooza was a good, serene one. I headed down to the park around 3pm and met up with Jimmy, Amy and Travis. We saw Matisyahu perform (blue stage) and were really surprised when Perry Ferrell personally requested an encore.
After, Travis and I headed over to see Of Montreal (green stage). Then we attempted to find Dan in a huge crowd of people, but ended up watching Wilco (pink stage) from the grass. Sorry Dan, I would have loved to jam with you but there is only so much a girl can do. :)

Bob's Party

Bob threw a kickin' after hours party! With coolers and coolers of beer, an Ipod that won't play The Streets video and crisp bread, you can't go wrong!

Retro on Roscoe

Back to Retro on Roscoe, I went. Met up with my friends and watched the closing band, Catfight, rock out for a 90 minute set.

Lolla - Day 2

After The Regels finished their set, I jetted down to Grant Park to see Wolfmother (pink stage) and Gnarles Barkley (blue stage). Wolfmother was a pretty good set but I was most excited for Gnarles Barkley. They came out dressed as tennis players (head bands and all) and they announced that Gnarles Barkley couldn't show up today but they were a cover band that was going to sing all of the Gnarles Barkley songs for us. :)
I was really surprised there was a live string section! Everyone was very high energy on stage. I do wish that Danger Mouse would have been more interactive but besides that he was awesome.
The field was PACKED for this set. It was a great show and I'm so glad I was able to see them live.

The Regels

I started my Saturday out by checking out The Regels, who were playing at Retro at Roscoe. Jimmy, the lead singer, is a good friend of mine and they put on a great show!

Lolla - DCFC (I'll Follow You Into the Dark)

The headlining act was Death Cab for Cutie. I met up with Sarah, Brian, and others to jam out to the show. Brian and I ended up grabbing our beers and venturing up to the stage and we got pretty close!
These pictures make it obvious that I was wearing SPF NE (not enough). :)

"Ba ba, ba ba, this is the sound of settling..."

Lolla - Raconteurs

This set was one of my absolute favorites yesterday. The band is incredible live and Jack White did some guitar solos that were beyond awesome. The best surprise of their show was when they did a cover of "Crazy" by Gnarles Barkley. The crowd went wild and we all started dancing around. Yeah!!!!
