In Character

This posting will be the random photos that are emailed to me.
This here is Paddy, he went as Super Grover.

Chad and Dave - friend-worlds colliding...over beer...lots of beer...and lipstick. What does it mean when he looks better in lipstick than I do?

Angie (my sister) went as a pregnant angel.

Gavin went as a fireman.

Laine is a baseball player - Happy Hour is only 60 minutes away!

If you have a photo of your costume, email it to me so that I can post it on the world wide web...then the whole world can laugh with you.

Something Evil's Lurking in the Dark

Dmitry - thanks for teaching me Russian, I have a feeling (unfortunately) that the phrase will come in handy. :)
Jeff - Yes, I would like to buy an umbrella.
Jack - I am sorry I didn't say good-bye. I promise to be really nice next time.
Brian - what medical school did you attend?
Tiff and Tom - thanks for the advice and walking me to my car. :)
Rife - thanks for letting me tap your keg on the "L" - mmmm.....

And I would like to announce that there were a group of people scouring Chicago and taking photos of the top costumes they saw out that night. And they stopped me and took my photo. Shaking my ass really paid off!!

Halloween Contest

Ray, I LOVE your costume!! And thanks a million for being my sound guy. :)

Ray won the costume contest! Great job, Q-Tip!

88 Years

Fuck! Yes!

My Mind's Not the Only Thing in the Gutter

For the first time, since the season started, the entire Lebowskis team was able to bowl together.
Ray was sick (and possibly channeling Michael Jackson)
I was angry
Jesse was Shelly
Matt was smoking (and yelling "GOOD EFFORT!")
Noel was eyeing the pizza

Thank God for "Miss Independent" or last night would have been a total disaster. :)

This Shit's Bananas!

I am working on one project that involves 14 different spreadsheets. All the spreadsheets are linked together by their data.
I CAN NOT get these numbers to match up and I CAN NOT figure out why they aren't matching up.

I want to throw my computer at someone.

Book Worm

Laine and I started reading this book yesterday, per my mom's recommendation. I can not put it down, it is so good. I read for 4 hours last night and I have a feeling tonight I will be doing the same.
Yesterday, Laine and I were attempting to guess the obstacles the characters would face in this book. Here were our guesses:

Olivia:
1. The pants are acid washed.
2. Someone pees their pants.

Laine:
1. The pants are cut. The sequel will be titled "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Daisy Dukes".

The Rainbow Connection

I took these while driving to work this morning. I think it's a sign that it's going to be a beautiful week, in every sense of the word.

Ulterior Motive

It was my turn to cook dinner for Chad. I made some awesome enchiladas, spanish rice with diced tomato, and refried beans.
Then I attempted to make dessert. I overcooked the Sopapias, just a little. After we cleared the smoke out of the kitchen, Chad and I headed to The Pontiac Cafe to see Moxie Motive play.

Don't we look sweet? And next time, he can be the photographer for the night.

It's No Hassle At All

I went to Wrigleyville on Friday night to see a band. Besides circling for 20 minutes to find a parking spot, everything else went fairly smoothly.
Josh - that photo of Wrigleyfield was taken just for you. I hope you are having fun with the last few weeks on location and I can't wait to see you in Los Angeles in December. Please tell Will that I send my best.

My Mama is a Teenager

this photo was taken when my mom was 13 years old. she's the one on the right, with the white sweater. my aunt jane, dark hair and barette, had just turned sweet 16.
those are my grandparents holding hands on the sofa.

Damn it, you guys should come check this band out! So it's in the middle of hell (aka land of the popped collar and chandelier earring). Who cares! The music, go for the music! Support local artists.

And! Support me, damn it! Some friends (humph) let me walk into hell/Wrigleyville on my own.

Last time I went to Wrigleyville was for the fake bachelorette party that Laine and I threw. Best fundraising idea ever. If anyone else out there needs to pay for some last minute plane tickets and bleacher seats for a Cubs game, throw yourselves a bachelorette party. Pure. Genius.

Nice Shoes, Wanna Fuck?

all i wanted was a nice pair of ballet flats. i have searched for 4 weeks for these and can not find them.
specifically i wanted them to look like this: flats, round toe, suede, jewel-toned (any one would do, but i liked the idea of purple or saphirre), with a small embellishment on the toe. nothing over the top, just maybe a small bow or something.

these shoes exist only in my mind. so i bought these today, instead:

they are flat, round toe, velvet, chocolate brown, with a large embellishment. but hell, they were on sale so who cares.

Strike a Pose

Why keep score when we have dismounts to perfect?
And props are good too.

a conversation between Jimmy and Heather:

JIMMY: pulls a cigarette out of his pack
HEATHER: No, I couldn't.
JIMMY: lights cigarette
HEATHER: I haven't smoked in 4 months.
JIMMY: takes drag from cigarette
HEATHER: Alright, I'll have one.
JIMMY: chuckles

**dammit, i can't get the text to lay properly on this posting. sorry about the scattered words.**
