Carisa's Birfday Party

Here are a few photos from Carisa's birthday party, which we threw this past weekend. There are also Polaroid pictures, but I'm waiting to get scanned copies of those. Once I get them, I will for sure post. Those were a ton of fun to take!

I think you can tell in the photos which ones were taken at the start of the party, during the party, and towards the end of the party. What a blast!

Happy Birthday, Carisa!

One of these is a photo of Amy Adams. One is a photo of Isla Fisher. I can never tell these two women apart.
Can you?

Birthday Girl

Today is my girl, Carisa's birthday! Tonight we're having a house party at Chez M&C. It's sure to be awesome.
Happy Birthday, Carisa. :)

Opening Night

Last night was opening night for Josh's film, Semi-Pro! Carisa, Michi and I bought tickets for the 8pm show and I was happy to see a full theater! What a funny film; I love the the people behind me were cracking up the entire time.

And Carisa learned a new swear word!

I yelled, pointed and clapped as Josh's name came on the big screen. Great Job, Josh!!!

And we were so excited to see the premiere for Step-Brothers. This line is hilarious, "Um, I've been meaning to ask you, do you like guacamole?"

Constant

I got some constant laughs at Sarah and Paddy's last night (before LOST took over my brain). The best one being...

Olivia (to Sarah): Did I tell you my sister-in-law is pregnant with twins!?

Paddy (from the other room): I had nothing to do with that!!

Sweater Day

You can pay tribute to Mr. Rogers by wearing a sweater on March 20th. It has been 5 years since Fred Rogers passed away and I can't think of a better way to honor him.

Well, maybe you could be nice to your neighbors too.

And Lance just pointed out, you could also:
-sing a song
-take off your shoes
-snap
-say hello to any passing trolleys

Ohio Debate

Are any of you watching the Ohio Democrat Debate? Tim Russett is really digging into Hillary. She said that she has always been against NAFTA and Tim spoke up and said in 1996, 2000, and 2004 she made public speeches about how great NAFTA is and how she's seen all the rewards of the program.
Hillary tried to deny it and Tim cut her off and said she isn't being honest.

Whoa!

The days of Clinton saying how honored she is to be debating Obama are over! They're bickering back and forth like mad! They're out for blood! This is getting good!

Only Time Will Tell

It's been three days and I'm still unbelievably ill. I have yet to go back to work. I'm so rarely sick and I'm frustrated that I don't have a normal amount of energy.

My doctor thinks what I have started out as the flu and might be on a path to pneumonia. She'll know more on Thursday whether I have pneumonia or not. Chest x-rays might be in my near future.

Fingers crossed, readers...please let this just be the flu.

I am Really Good at Giving Gifts!

I picked up some Jerk Seasoning while in the Caribbean, intended as a gift.

Sorry, I just had to post. Irony makes me laugh. :)

And the Oscar Goes to...

Jon Stewart for Best Host Ever, for doing this...

and Carisa just told me they're coming back to Chicago in June! I'm there! (but this time I will wear waterproof mascara)
ha ha

Marry Me

What a surprise I received when Michi and Tim picked me up from the train station! A last minute ticket to the St. Vincent show at Schuba's!
Lee met us up for the show as well and then we all headed over to the Chicago Brauhaus for pretzels and large german beers.
Lee is quite the ladies man, at the German joints. :)

LOST (caught up)

I am finally caught up on LOST and whoa, those were some intense episodes! Tim, you're right on about the time warp on the island.
But more importantly, hot damn Sawyer and Kate have the sexiest scenes.

Pics from San Juan

A conversation that Angie and I, her 30 year old sister, had while walking thru San Juan:
Olivia: Oh look! There's a cat hiding in that drain pipe.
Angie: says nothing. doesn't move.
Olivia: moving forward Oh, it looks hungry. Here Kitty, kitty, kitty!
Angie: says nothing. doesn't move.
Olivia: Oh, it's ear is sliced. Angie, look...it's ear. Poor thing. continues scooting forward, now hunched over with hand sticking out.
Angie: Well, don't pet it!!

5 seconds later we overheard this conversation between a father and his 3 year old daughter:
Father: Now, you're going to see a lot of wild animals on this island. Even animals that look likes ones we have back home. You shouldn't touch any of these animals, sweetheart. Do you understand?

**Angie got a pretty good laugh out of this.**

More Pics

I got a hole-in-one playing miniature golf.
